The philosophy of Brian Eno - and Roxy Music - is explored in this terrific documentary. What's tremendous about this is that with all the attention that Eno, Bryan Ferry and U2 have garnered and (presumably) enjoyed, certain aspects of their careers have not been explored and made available for study. These DVD documentaries can be hit or miss, The Sacred Triangle an interesting case in point which is kind of both hit AND miss in its explanations of Lou Reed, David Bowie and Iggy Pop when their careers intersected at a pivotal point in time. The Man Who Fell To Earth, of course, is a take-off on a film which starred David Bowie, and also - slyly - gives a nod to Eno's clever ability to promote his ideas in a fashion that made them ..., well..."fashionable". Andy Warhol and Bryan Ferry's eye for what is hip was not lost on Brian Eno. The critics noting that Eno was personable and Ferry elitist also makes sense, and Eno's bringing German influences into the For Your Pleasure album.
